The Raptors have won the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference which guarantees them a top 4 seed in the playoffs.  The Raptors are 43-33 on the season and have won 7 of their last 10 games.  The Raptors are 2.5 games behind the Chicago Bulls for the #2 seed but are only ahead of the Miami Heat by 1 game.  The Raptors need to stay hot and avoid the #4 seed because they don’t want to play the Bulls or Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs. 

Jorge Garbajosa will miss the remainder of the season after he had surgery last Tuesday to repair horrific injuries to his left leg and ankle.  He played in 67 games in his rookie season and he averaged 28.5 minutes, 8.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game.  He will be missed in the playoffs because of his all-out effort and hustle which rubbed off on the rest of the players on the court for the Raptors.  He was quite a find as an undrafted free agent which is a testament to the fine scouting department of the Raptors organization.
